Fengning North Integrated Smart Energy Station by CHN Energy’s Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. has successfully passed its interim handover acceptance, marking significant progress in the development of the green hydrogen industry chain within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This achievement lays a solid foundation for advanced hydrogen energy infrastructure development and represents a key step towards the realization of unmanned hydrogen refueling stations.
Located in Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, the AI-powered demonstration facility integrates oil, hydrogen, electricity, photovoltaic power generation and intelligent robotics. The station's hydrogen refueling machine boasts a maximum refueling rate of approximately 7.2 kg per minute and a typical refueling rate of around 2 kg per minute, allowing a hydrogen fuel cell bus to be fully refueled in approximately 15 minutes. Equipped with TK16 and TK25 hydrogen refueling guns, the station provides intelligent refueling services for a range of hydrogen-powered vehicles, including passenger cars, buses and heavy trucks, meeting the daily hydrogen needs of approximately 50 vehicles.
The station's efficient layout integrates oil, hydrogen and electricity services within a limited footprint. The hydrogen refueling area features a proprietary hydrogen integration skid capable of dispensing 1,000 kg of hydrogen in 12 hours, with several technical indicators exceeding industry standards. This design optimizes hydrogen refueling efficiency while minimizing construction costs and land use, contributing to the intelligent operation and effectiveness of the refueling process.
The refueling area is equipped with three four-gun refueling machines and an intelligent refueling robot to streamline operations. The charging area features six 180 kW dual-gun charging piles for electric vehicles. A 53.76 kW photovoltaic system installed on the charging canopy provides power for the station, maximizing the use of clean energy for self-sufficiency. An AI-powered micro-leakage warning system for hydrogen enhances safety by providing timely alerts for potential risks. The project team also proactively engaged with local authorities to secure policy support and navigate the permitting process for hydrogen stations in Chengde City, establishing a valuable precedent for future projects.
Since construction began in September 2024, Hebei Branch of Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. has diligently coordinated efforts to ensure the project's timely completion, culminating in the successful interim handover acceptance.
